What is Grant Aid through Student Support Services?
Similar to a scholarship, Grant Aid is a one-time, non-repayable grant awarded to first- and second-year SSS participants. If selected to receive a Grant Aid Award, the participant will receive a check cut in their name for the amount of the award. These funds are provided by the U.S. Department of Education and managed by the Student Support Services program.
The SSS Director will administer the Grant Aid Awards and work collaboratively with the Director of Financial Aid to cut individual checks to eligible students.

You must be an SSS Active Participant* to be eligible for SSS Grant Aid. SSS participants may receive up to the maximum Pell Grant in SSS Grant Aid, as long as the SSS participant has unmet need or loans and the total amount of financial assistance awarded does not exceed the student's cost of attendance.
